What is the cloud? What is Windows Azure? Why should I care?
As you know, there's a lot of buzz out there about The Cloud. To help clarify this topic a bit for our community, and also to help us, as Microsoft Partners, fully leverage this appropriately within our businesses, we have asked Patrick Foley from Microsoft to present to our group. Patrick is an ISV Architect Evangelist for Microsoft, and he lives and breathes this stuff every day.
Patrick has offered to update us on the basics of cloud computing, major players in the space, key jargon used, and how the economics can impact our business. He will also provide an overview of Windows Azure, part of Microsoft's cloud offering, and how both product and services based partners can leverage it appropriately. And lastly, he will bring us up to speed on current Microsoft programs that we all should know about to help us build and sell cloud solutions, such as Microsoft Platform Ready and other Microsoft early adopter programs.
