NEW WEST TECHNOLOGIES, PORTLAND, OR- October 10, 2005- New West
Technologies, Inc. announced release of the newest application in its
line of eCommerce software partnering with the Microsoft Retail
Management System (RMS) platform. Web Integrator: X-Cart brings the
capabilities of eCommerce shopping into integration with the
inventory, customer, and operational aspects of RMS. Utilizing the
robust frameset of the popular X-Cart web based shopping cart system,
Web Integrator: X-Cart bridges the divide between internet shopping
point-of-sale (POS) management and traditional brick-and-mortar POS
management, making it even easier for traditional retail establishments
to embrace the digital revolution of online shopping.
Prior to the Web Integrator release, store managers were required
to maintain two databases for online shopping and brick-and-mortar
experiences. Maintaining accurate inventory records online was often a
tedious and costly experience, requiring the use of dedicated staff to
keep updated. As a result, most eCommerce inventory records were
outdated, causing no end of frustration to customers and management
alike. Customer orders would sit in digital limbo while inventory was
hastily ordered, all while days or weeks ticked by and customer
impatience mounted.
Web Integrator addresses these issues, allowing the
synchronization of databases, descriptions, pictures, stock levels, and
more. Customers can select from stock on hand, and purchases are
downloaded to order fulfillment every minute. Customer records are
merged, increasing ease of use for mailers and other
marketing initiatives. SSL security ensures that customer information
and orders remain confidential from prying eyes.
Previous installments of Web Integrator functioned with the
Storefront shopping cart system, and the enhanced cart functionality of
X-Cart appeals to a wider audience of RMS users.
