Recently, Microsoft leveraged the ‘Vibe’ solution into its Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online division. In the words of Laura Robinson, CRM Sales Technology Specialist, Microsoft, ‘Vibe’ is a true innovation for Dynamics CRM users and as an internal collaboration tool it allows a company’s team to connect in a more meaningful, social manner. Robinson continued that Microsoft is able to have authentic conversations about business, share expertise, and also consume relevant notifications from CRM, and hopes that ‘Vibe’ will have a major positive impact on how the company works.
The application is especially useful for the executives who can deploy it to keep track of milestones in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, such as new orders, hot opportunities, marketing campaigns or even monthly revenue calculations, and don’t need to log in to the software for undertaking these actions. Apart from it, sales teams located away from each other can leverage the solution for staying up to speed on opportunities, quotes and orders by following a sales feed driven by Microsoft Dynamics CRM data.
According to Mike Snyder, Principal, Sonoma Partners, ‘Vibe’ fosters invaluable communication flow across an organization by bringing the best of work and social networking worlds together. Snyder noted that because ‘Vibe’ is a business tool intended for internal deployment, Sonoma is confident that its sensitive and proprietary information stays within company’s network instead of risking using public social networking alternatives for meeting its collaboration goals.
In June 2009, Sonoma Partners announced that Marquette Group has
selected Microsoft Dynamics CRM to consolidate customer systems and provide sales teams with a 360 degree view of prospect and customer information from one integrated database.
