App-Pendix consolidates IP Phone directories and makes them accessible to the Cisco 7940/7960 series of XML enabled phones.  The standard CallManager directory feature only replicates directory information between the CallManager servers in a cluster. With App-Pendix you can create a global directory, available to each cluster regardless of the Call Manager cluster configuration. App-Pendix also supports importing from database tables or Microsoft ActiveDirectory enabled products such as Windows 2000 Server or Microsoft Exchange.
